Autumn is here

Clocks go back Oct 26th and then it will be dark by early evening. Has been a beautiful summer in this part of the country with local and municipal gardens looking splendid in all their glory. The above photo is of a local park,  memories of summer in abundance and ones to treasure.

rainy day today

Very rainy today and not able to get a lot of work done in clients garden. Hoping mid week will be better and the rain will stay away. Haven't heard or seen many foxes recently. In the winter they can be a bit of a nuisance digging holes and bringing rubbish into the garden, but they seem to be very quiet at the moment.
The gardens seem to be slowing down a bir now, but the roses are still flowering. The different colours and scents are amazing and always bring pleasure to any garden. I especially love these roses.

the garden spiders are out in force, a sign autumn is on its way, always love to see them strung between shrubs and trees at this time of year, in my clients gardens, they are quite big and have distinctive stripes, watch out for them

On a glorious sept day

my garden is still looking lovely. The geraniums are a blaze of colour, the roses are about to flower again, the sedums are beginning to colour in soft hues of pink and the aubretia adds shades of purple tp the main border. I love this time of year when the season is winding down, but in the south where I live still warm and sunny and glorious.
